Prezi: I thoroughly enjoyed your Prezi! The topic is perfect to use for a variety of grades (with modifications) and is very easy to follow! I enjoyed the parts of the plant and being able to zoom in to see the definition. I think the flow and format that you had set up was very nice and kid-friendly!
DeBono Thinking Hats: I think that you did a great job on this assignment! I found the videos to be very entertaining and useful. I feel that parents and kids would both be able to use the information efficiently and successfully! Engaging students in peer discussion is a great way to get students thinking critically and I was glad to see you included that. I liked that you mentioned that students would be keeping a journal to track thoughts and observations. It would be so nice to have a notebook where students could use as an interactive tool to help their learning and use to recall information. The questions that you provided promote students to use their higher order thinking skills and push them to go deeper into their learning. I feel that this topic is one that would interest and, therefore, engage the students! Great idea to include a pre-assessment! Including the text features in this part of your work was very nice to see! I think it is important to include using text features in our lessons regularly so students are used to it and become experts!
